The Gutter Bar LIC

Bowling lanes are far from perfect. The oil patterns are really bad, you can see that it's super uneven and they don't take care of it. Oh right, it's a bar. Food is really bad, too salty and just microwaved food that's overpriced! Don't get the cilantro hotdog; it's a disgusting lime green sauce.

Big belly guy making hot dogs is a big jerk. I saw a large group walk in at 5pm, so I hurried to get my food ordered. The man didn't start cooking for 15min, just talking to female customers and having fun. I asked how long the food usually takes. He glared at me, saying "you're gunna have to wait you only just ordered 3 minutes ago". I thought this was rude but I let it slide. But I noticed the large group getting their food first. I asked multiple times, every 30 minutes; each time he was incredibly rude to me. In the end I waited 2 hours to get my food. Maybe he thought he can look down on me because I'm a small guy who don't speak English first language? Do not come here when you are hungry; and maybe you will have a little fun. Also, don't order the Korean BBQ or anything other than the hotdog; it's all just frozen food they defrost for you. Get real Kbbq from elsewhere.

Manager is condescending, lazy, aggressive, and rude. Don't expect him to do anything for you (especially after you pay). He sat me down and started lecturing a "life lesson" when I asked him to do a simple request; showed him a receipt and asked him to move it to another card. He got super offended by me saying that, saying I'm causing a hassle.

Enjoy waiting 2-3 hours for the potential opportunity to maybe possibly bowl. Take a number like you’re in a bakery (in the backrooms) and see what does or does not happen.

I went in and got carded at the door. The guy checking ID was friendly. His name I believe was Orlando. He recommended that I sit at the bar, and try a loaded hotdog. It was good. Try their mustard. I'm not really a fan of mustard, but theirs is pretty good. The beer is on tap, and all are local/craft beers. I didn't wait long to get a lane. I would recommend this place as a nice chill spot. Bring a friend, or a date. Either way you'll have fun.
