First time dining experience today. Food, service and ambiance were awesome. Appetizers were awesome. Calamari, kale and spinach artichoke dip and vegetarian spring rolls. It was a perfect location for girls day out. There were great food options for all of us to include vegan and vegetarian. I would host my upcoming birthday celebration here! I recently dined at The Guru and had a delightful experience. The lobster bites were delicious, and the presentation of the drinks was exquisite. The upscale ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Would highly recommend!

Food was good, but was not worth the price paid. The Lobster tail was suppose to be 8 oz, came out looking like 3 oz, cut up in small pieces. $50 for three Lamp Chops, too much. We are talking about Decator, Ga. Service for 2 guests was not worth the 20% Gratuity that was automatically put in your bill. Drinks was too pricey. My advice, check the menu & make sure the Gratuity is not included in your bill for a party of two.

We had reservations at 7:30, and were seated immediately when we walked in. However, it took 2 hours for us to receive our food. The food was good, but definitely not worth a 2 hour wait when there were only 2 people in my party. We were also supposed to receive a complimentary dessert since we purchased bottle service, but we never got that either. On the plus side, the restaurant is decorated very nicely.

I visited the Guru yesterday with my girlfriend and from entering to leaving, we were pleased! The layout and the decor of the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. There was r&b playing and it fit the aura. The drinks and the food were so good and the staff was very pleasant. The owner was there working himself and he was very attentive to his customers. The place is still fairly new but I can see in due time it will be a favorite of a lot of customers.

I am so excited this restaurant has opened in Decatur. I have been three times already and everything is impeccable- the food, attentive and kind service, ambience, cocktails and wine selection. Lobster bites, oysters and broccolini - on repeat! I hope this lovely spot is successful for many years to come. Tell a friend!

BEWARE STAY AWAY food & service is terrible!! My experience: Went here Friday with a friend was charged $8 for water. The waiter did not inform us there is a up charge for water no they do offer and sort of complementary water and will not tell you they will just add the $8 to your bill. I asked the waiter why he didn't inform us he said with a very nasty attitude "thats not my job" even though it is. We address this to the owner he was very rude and nasty. He refused to take the water off our tab even though we where not aware we would be charged. Food: My friend became extremely sick off her fries and they where cold when served. I ordered veggie pasta way too much cheese I had a really bad stomach ache the next day. Service: The place is cashless and they don't tell you this until the check comes no signs anywhere saying that STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE TERRIBLE SERVICE & HOSPITALITY!

My husband and I stopped by The Gura for an appetizer and drinks. The fried lobster bites were delicious and the drinks were just right! The staff was attentive and conversational. We loved the atmosphere it was cozy and sexy.

I took my wife in mother-in-law here today this was our first time here. The food was amazing the drinks was on point. Service was excellent. We will be back
