The Grill at Hacienda Del Sol

Fantastic fine dining in Tucson! Beautiful Southwest architecture with charming artwork and sculptures, where we sat in the dining room with a beautiful view of the mountains. Service was superb from the hostess immediately seating us, immediate drink orders, warm bread, and perfect balance of attentiveness to keep the dining experience moving at a relaxed pace. Craft cocktails were amazing, wine was ‘spot on’, and the food was delicious!

It was a gorgeous place. Food was good, But there was an incident with a customer and someone that brought their small dog in the restaurant. I can totally see why the customer was upset, I would not want a dog at a nice restaurant sitting next to me either! Otherwise I would have brought my own dog! Who wants dog hair flying around your expensive food?! Good for him for speaking up!! And, no it was not a service dog.

We did the wine tasting event. We had a great time. The staff was outstanding.

Brought my family, Angelo attended us, he is an excellent waiter and the food was amazing. We had the 3 course pre-fix meals everything on that menu is delicious. Views we’re equally pleasing!

Advanced apologies for the verbiage, but sometimes it's necessary. If you're seeking something new - something of note. If you need to impress a certain someone in a classy way or even impress yourself, I recommend attending one of the monthly wine dinners Hacienda hosts. Sommelier David Mills has passion & expertise in his craft. The same can be said of Chef Ramon Delgado. The food/wine pairings will not disappoint. It's great to see professionals who truly enjoy what they do. And if you listen between sips you can learn much about wine. For those a little shy at the thought of a wine dinner, take comfort that the atmosphere is relaxed. Everyone is there to have fun. These are Monday night affairs so not a bad way to start off a week. Buy a bottle of one you liked on the way out. Drink it or give to your kids someday. They'll treasure it.
