It's been a while since I had meal that impressed me as much as this meal did. Cocktails and mocktails were excellent (most depth/complexity in a mocktail I've had in years). Meat and vegetarian dishes alike were very flavorful without being overly salted, complex, unique; we especially enjoyed the sweetbreads, duck & dumplings, and the sweet potato entry (one of the best vegetarian entrees I've had). Music was great and not too loud, easy to have a conversation. Vibe was great - staff was very friendly, stopped by at the right times, but not trying too hard. Will definitely return if I find myself in Savannah again.
The Grey is a special place. My sister and I went to Savannah for my birthday and I was able to get a reservation at The Grey a couple weeks in advance. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and there was a handwritten birthday card for me!! I've been to many restaurants (on my birthday) before and this was the first time I've received a card. I feel like the card embodied the service and culture at The Grey. Adding to all this was the food!! There were wonderful vegetarian options and creative takes on dishes. Portions were generous. It was all absolutely delicious. Would very highly recommend!!!! Vegetarian options: Menu rotates but there are always a good # of vegetarian options from what I could tell Parking: Paid parking garage across the street with a lot of spaces
Nice modern southern food, great wines & cocktails. Quick service. Not sure why the white bright neon lights keep coming on randomly though, I think it’s quite a distraction. Great dinner, will come again!
Food it’s amazing! Sebastian it’s a great Bartender, if you go you will not be disappointed!!
Unrealistically good. I honestly was not really feeling the menu, but they worked with us and the food EXTRAORDINARY. We were all blown away by how delicious every course was.
I have mixed reviews on this restaurant. We waited outside in the cold until 5:01 before we were allowed to enter the restaurant for our 5:00 reservation. Really? Couldn't we at least come in out of the cold? We were signed up for the chef's tasting menu. While we had some really good food, my main entree (fish) was cold. I told my waiter, and nothing was done, other than he said he told the kitchen. Then I was double charged for my entrées. I caught it only because the total charge was ridiculous. We were seated at the central bar, which wasn't a great experience for such a ridiculously expensive dinner. So, nice but just not worth it. And not a friendly experience.
