Green Jay owner Ryan has done a sophisticated yet laid-back redo of the old Beerland space. The music on Thursday nites in June is loud and bluesy with the Ortiz bros regrouping Bricktop Blues and inviting jammers to join in, notably Jamey Simms last nite. Drinks are cold and pay to park on the street.
Born out of the ashes of the infamous Beerland bar, this bar has stayed true to its live music roots, but the decor has been upgraded tenfold. Quite literally the nicest spot on Red River, but without any of the pomp or pretentiousness that come with "progress"
To not love The Green Jay is to not enjoy life.Come for the free wifi. Stay for the exceptional service l.
Never been here but I looked through the window and was capture by the most handsome bartender that I’ve ever laid eyes on. All I could think about was the warmth of his sweet embrace followed by a passionate open mouth kiss.I didn’t have the confidence to enter so I was left with my own reflection in the window.
More like The Green Jay-ant! Amirite?
Wednesday nights are a blast while listening to the Michael Hale Trio featuring Mac Mackintosh!
A lil on the inflated side of things.
