I have eaten at the Governor in the past. Today I went by and it appears at least temporarily closed. There is a for lease sign hanging from the gallery and no sign of activity in the building. I called and no one answers the phone. Be sure to check before making the trip. Vegetarian options: Some non-meat items on menu Dietary restrictions: Ask about restrictions before ordering Parking: Limited on-street parking and paid garages in the area Kid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Downstairs is accessible

I met Sunshine today when I decided to have a nice meal at a different spot. (Not from New Orleans). Immediately walking in, I felt the warmth when I entered the room. She was such a beautiful, friendly, warm, and intelligent socialite. I was followed with greet from her wonderful employees, Kendra and Tony. They had a smile that felt so intentional and so gratifying, I eventually forgot I was just a customer coming to eat. Kendra is an excellent bartender who can make a customized taste like a million bucks! Tony is such a down-to-earth individual who can make the heck out of a mimosa, and knows how to keep you laughing! As far as Sunshine, she makes every customer feel like family... she’s always on her feet and handling business, and even makes her employees feel comfortable to be themselves and provide the best service! Oh, and did I mention how amazing the food was?... out of this world! They are very receptive to feedback, and refuse to wait to fix it. Needless to say, this is my new spot!

Great bar, friendly service and great drinks. Not too crowded. Drinks only, not a restaurant anymore as of 2023.

Although it was after closing of the kitchen during Mardi Gras season for a place in the French Quarter this was a really nice spot nearby Bourbon. Slightly classy and very chill. A lot of classier bars or bars in the Quarter often have slightly condescending bartenders, but Seamus was super dope. Very fun and relatable to us and our friends, served awesome drinks, and overall it was a great stop on our way to party more. Totally rad.

Sad this place is closed- we had a pretty good time with bottomless mimosas on the balcony during Mardi Gras before the world shut down. Our server was so sweet and bubbly I hope she’s gainfully employed.
