The Goat is one of my favorite places to go for a fun night out. The atmosphere is great, especially during the summer with outside seating/bar access! Pros: Great atmosphere, nice menu/drink selection, nice waitstaff, good happy hour specials. Cons: Lengthy wait times (during dinner), menu prices (select items like Tacos, apps, etc.) Overall rating of 4.5 Stars!
How this place has a 4.3 star review is min blowing i would take Arby’s over this place any day the food was awful wings awful ….. buffalo chicken wrap substantial at best
I’ve given The Goat a handful of chances: it’s a great location with wonderful atmosphere. The menu itself is great. However, nothing is executed well. No matter how busy, the timing in the kitchen is way off. If one person at your table got their food at optimal temperature, no one else did. What did me in today was the visibly dirty glassware. Idk if they’re stacking them (in which case that’s little shards I saw, cool) or the detergent isn’t getting rinsed well, but it’s off putting. It seems like fine dining is the only way to get the experience you pay for post pandemic.
Location wasn't the best.
A friend and I had dinner here Thursday night and it was amazing! Our waitress (name started with a J, so sorry can’t remember) was so kind! She took awesome care of us!
Went to The Goat on Saturday around 3 o’clock. Service was good, Food was great, atmosphere was chill. Big open building. Sports bar meets industrial restaurant vibes. Beautiful apartments across the street. Feels like you’re in a hallmark movie walking to your car.
Great place with some character, rare in Murfreesboro. Food is good with some decent choices and really reasonably priced. Two people: 4 cocktails and 2 lunch dishes (jerk chicken tacos & chicken gyro) for $48 before tax. Great atmosphere! I am a lover of outdoor seating, this has the best in town. I reserved one star because this place does what I consider disingenuous. They calculate the tip percentages AFTER tax. This is NOT how it is done. Hopefully my waitress knows this and realizes I left more than 20% not less. She was excellent and friendly. After returning, they need to stop watering down drinks. Two cocktails for $18 I never tasted or felt any liquor. Menu has gone downhill. Had a horrible dinner.
Enjoyed GREAT happy hour pricing. The Walnut Old Fashioned was really good and a fantastic price!
