Love the vibe of this place! Good food, simple and yummy. The service was awesome.

Bevies and atmosphere are very nice, but food could be much better. Ordered fried chicken sandwich and I think it was a Tyson chicken patty. Definitely not an in-house, breaded and fried chicken breast. Fries were small in portion and not crispy.

THE WOAT!!!!!Deserves a ZERO!! Worst prime rib ever !!!! Served with a butter knife. Could barely cut it with a steak knife the few bites I had. Not sure if the staff ever served food before. Bartender/Server said he was filling in and doesn’t cook the food. Can’t do anything about it. This place will be out of business soon!!!! Total Rip-off—-THE PATRON NXT TO ME CAUGHT ME OUTSIDE AND VOICED THE SAME AS I JUST WROTE

Used to like this place. Last 2 visits were my last. Food quality has gone down.....not the prices. Last time we were there a girl wearing pajama bottoms took over the bar service while the orginal bar tender went to the kitchen to cook. This girl was very disoriented and was pouring pints with 2-3 inches of foam. For the price they charge you get at best 2/3 of a pint. Food not worth the price. Plenty of TV's to watch games. I want to like this place but done.

I really want to like this place but damn. Today I showed up at 1 to watch the charger game. And they were closed. No note on the door. Nothing. And this follows showing up a few weeks ago for a game and the owner stumbled in at 1245 when their posted hours are 12. And what sports bar opens at 12 on Sundays when games start at 10? AND… showed up at 530 for “prime rib Thursdays” last week and was told “no prime rib tonight” and owner walked away. I don’t understand this place. Great idea and location, but an owner trying to do it all himself, has no staff, doesn’t keep hours based on his social staying up late, and a late opening (if at all) sports bar. Why bother even having a restaurant that is so clearly going to fail. And it’s too bad because the food is good.

I've been to The Goat 2 Thursdays in the past month. That's Prime Rib night. We left, the 1st time, after the server never came to take our food order. The 2nd time, same dude took at least 20 minutes to get us a beer. He did come back for our food order. He said he'd be back in 5 minutes for our order. It was no less than 20 minutes later. The onion rings are phenomenal. We did get the prime rib. It was whelming. Not over nor under that unit of measure. The mashed potatoes are the highlight of the plate. No choice of meat temperature was offered. It was medium. A man across from us took it upon himself to order "as rare as you have'. He got medium. Apparently, that's as rare as they have. I love this place! There have been 25 plus people in the joint & there's ONE GUY working the front of the house. He does it & he does it at his own pace which shows no bit of urgency. He might also be running the kitchen for all I know. It's fantastic people watching to see other parties get frustrated & overly demanding of the only person anyone sees working there. Dude's level of concern is around that same level of urgency I noted above. The beer is cold. The food will feed you. The TVs are great quality. There's very little seating. There's ONE GUY serving the entire joint. If this makes you angry, it's your own fault. It's not only obvious but the man will tell you he's all there is for the whole place. Beer, seltzers & wine only by the way. The beer is cold & the wine is super overpriced. This is the best sports bar in all of Del Mar by far. Parking: There's a parking lot behind the building.

Best beach burger I have ever had! Amazing views I literally said ummm five times out loud I couldn’t put the burger down. It also has an amazing happy hour.
