The staff went above and beyond to be sure we knew all our food and drink options, and that we were enjoying ourselves and our meals. However, the menu was limited and all the food was bland. At our table, we ordered carnitas tacos, fish & chips, and brisket with mac & cheese. Very simply, there wasn't much (if any) flavor. I needed a ton of lemon to give my fish a little something to make it better. The chips, which also came with the tacos, were crispy with no salt, and the ones at the bottom were not fully fried -- they were still *soggy* from the oil! The tortillas were cold. The mac & cheese was just plain cheese - not a hint of salt. Overall, I was unimpressed and won't be going back. Once there, they only had about 1/2 the menu available (on a Tuesday night). But I could tell they were really trying to make it a great experience, if that makes any difference. Plus the set-up, decor, and ambiance were very classy.
Went there tonight the first time since they reopened and I have to say I would be shocked if they are still open by the end of the year. We sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer that was cold and not very good, and the bartender was in way over her head and we even heard the waitresses saying how many tables were were unhappy with the wait time to receive their food. This place used to be the talk of the town and now even with the place at 50% capacity the wait time for dinners is around and hour. We brought gift cards when they went on sale before COVID hit and now we might have to rush to use them before this place closes for good. Bring back the old chefs and old managers because whomever is running the show now is not doing a very good job. It is a shame because this place had all the makings for a restaurant that could have been around for a very long time.
