This is my favorite dim sum place in the Westminster area. I’ve been to a lot of other places and have been either disappointed by the food, the price or the locale. The Dim Sum Co is a take out only joint that is inside of a grocery store that serves dim sum only. The menu may not be extensive as the sit down restaurants, but all the basics are there with some specialties available only on Friday to Sunday. The prices are reasonable for the quantity and the quality and taste is better than some sit downs. The trick is to order online so you don’t have to wait outside for your order. Tip#2 come in time when they tell you cause the order will be ready. Tip#3 bring a cooler or a blanket to cover the food for the car ride home so the dim sum stays hot.
This is my first time ordering from this restaurant. The quantity and quality of the food were amazing! We ordered the pork and shrimp Xiu Mai (dumplings), Heo Quay (fried pork)and various other items (can’t remember the names). Everything was delicious! Just a word of caution. We ordered online at 4:20pm. The website stated that they are open until 5pm. Once we completed our order, a confirmation text was sent to my phone for the time of pickup. To our surprise, the pickup was scheduled for the FOLLOWING day at 8am! I guess I expected that my dinner would be available on the same day that I ordered, especially 40 minutes before closing? Since we were already in the neighborhood and we couldn’t find their phone number to cancel, we decided to go in to the store (we were a couple of miles away). We arrived at 4:30 and they were already cleaning up and putting away food. After explaining my situation, the 2 ladies in the restaurant decided to make my order. Overall, the food was great. The ordering is weird since you have to pay first before knowing when you’ll get your food (could be the next day). However, they redeemed themselves by accommodating our order. Unfortunately, the process for ordering will probably stop me from ordering there again. The Atmosphere was good. This restaurant is located in a Vietnamese grocery store. The store and parking lot were busy but we enjoyed the immersive (for lack of a better description) cultural experience.
