I could go on and on about this place. My absolute favorite restaurant in Tucson now. Decor, ambiance, service, and above all, food. Best short rib and burger I've ever tasted. Just perfect in all forms.
So much potential, but overrated. The brussel sprout appetizer would have been good had it not been overwhelmed by the garlic honey and burnt candied pecans. Southern food...tater tots? Maybe. But not with that gravy. That gravy turned the tater tots to mush. It is rare when I don't finish a meal. Was happy to leave most of this behind.
Service and atmosphere were good, but the food was mid at best especially for the prices.
Good southern food but the collard greens were a bit on the salty side. The atmosphere and restaurant is excellent and well kept. I had the birria quesarita burger (not a real burger but more of a large birria taco inside hamburger bun) and I would say that I did like the fried cheese inside that burger but there was just too much of it in my opinion, my son had a cheeseburger that was very good, My wife had the seafood gumbo and was also good. We had some tater tots as well that were quite good as well. Everything was served to us hot and quick. The wait staff was very friendly and I'm guessing who was the manager was also very friendly. I love the atmosphere and decor at this restaurant. You should check it out if you're in the area If you like some unique and good tasting southern food mainly Southern Louisiana style. We'll be back to try the jambalaya and the spicy chicken sandwich as well as other dishes to include the desserts.
This restaurant is one of best in Tucson. You won't see white table clothes here but, the chef is a culinary star. We had the Drunken Angel hair pasta and the Dr. pepper marinated Tri Tip. Both were amazing. The price for two with drinks and an appetizer was in the $$$.$$ range but I assure you you will not be disappointed. Parking: There is parking on the street with meters from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and free on weekends.
Welcoming bar, great food, and awesome service. We had the fried green tomato po’ boy and the shrimp & grits as appetizers, both of which were awesome!
