The Cuban Union City

I just came home from this restaurant. The beer was hot $8. The food terrible. My son asked for churrasco well done and it came with blood. They took it 2 times to recook and still with blood. The churrasco was small for $35 dollars and came with watercress also bad seasoned. The yuca frita not crunchy. My other son asked for chicken with mash potatoes $25. He didn’t finish his dinner and was afraid to get sick. I asked for seafood soup $18. terrible too. Does not taste or look like a soup, it was too greasy and red with a lot tomato paste. Only I can say the waiter did his job. No fue lo que esperaba. Que decepción , no volveré. Y al final tuve que pagar 110 dollars plus tips. No way. Don’t waste your money. They serve too little food. I ask for aguacate chips as appetizer too, let me tell you looks like they just mash the avocado and put tomatoes on top nothing else.

This place has all that you'll neeto have a great time out!! First floor is where the main restaurant area is, the food is amazing and variety is incredible. Second floor will be the cigar lounge area where all of your cigar needs Will be met!! As you continue outside the deck area is welcoming and comfortable to hang out In, AND finally the ROOFTOP, YES! A Rooftop area where everything will go down!! Check them out.. You will t regret it

Alexander and Javier were amazing and the food was nothing short of amazing! We were hesitant at first but were so pleasantly surprised of the atmosphere, service, and food! We cannot wait for the rooftop to open and for more people to hear about this place because it is so deserved. Great happy hour specials too.

Disappointing. We reserved a large group Sunday brunch. The service was slow considering the restaurant was not full or busy. Our drink and food orders went in at the same time, no appetizers. Most of our group chose the unlimited brunch. The drinks took a long time to be brought to the table, and when we reordered as well. Our food did come out in a reasonable time, however we had many missing dishes that just never came or had to be asked for multiple times. The food was ok. The pancakes came to the table with regular syrup instead of the guava syrup and were hard. Also the eggs had pieces of shell in them. The young children in our group ordered basic scrambled eggs and their dishes came out at the very end, after asking the waiter many times. Unfortunately, we had certain expectations since having been to the Hoboken location and we were let down. We will not be returning.

When you enter The Cuban, there are elements that transport you to another place out of Union City/Weehawken. The interior design is very pleasing while giving roots to cuba with cars and color coordination. Foods have a very at home taste or somewhat elevated flavor profiles that would turn up on a Sunday evening. The empenadas reminded me of Puerto Vallarta's baked empanadas while the El Cubano had an appeasing taste for a classic. I also recommend the pitcher between two people if you want to drink up.

It is an amazing representation of Cuba from food to design elements. My only request is to perhaps play some Cuban music .

Amazing brunch spot, with the best service! Our waitress Maria on our server Michael bartender James really made sure that we had a good time, as we were a group of 7 old and new friends getting together! i’ve been here for dinner and brunch. My sister lives a few blocks away and she highly recommend the Cuban in Union City. She’s here at least 3 times a week with her husband. The managers, checking on us to make sure we’re getting well taken care of. I highly recommend the Cuban. we had my sister‘s birthday here. We’re doing my nieces birthday here on May 4. recommending .All friends and families plus valet parking Is a plus .

Awesome and very clean environment. love this place a lot. nice music , beautiful ambiance, friendly staff, manager. would strongly recommend this place . nice selection of music. Miriam, Consuelo invited me since it’s their favorite spot for brunch, and dinner. ❤️

Literally my husband and I! Have been waiting for the Cuban to be open. We live 3 blocks away and was really happy when they were opened. We are here a few times a week and we have/ had the best time and experience ever. The food, ambience was 10 over10!! The people who works there are so kind and inviting and very well informed!! From both managers to our bartender JAMES, MICHAEL & MARIA . Our servers were so welcoming and we always feels at home.The food was epic.THE drinks were so good and when my husband and I left. We were so full and satisfied always. And would highly recommend The CUBAN IN UNION CITY.❤️

Where can I even start? The atmosphere is amazing. The food and drinks are a perfect 10. I go here all the time with my girlfriend and they never disappoint us. The manager is always there to make sure everything comes out perfect.
