The Cowfish® Sushi Burger Bar

A beautiful location disguises a rough, overpriced dining experience. An innovative idea, I originally thought it would be a burger made out of sushi but burgushi (or burgooshi) instead is sushi made from burger ingredients. The taste isn't bad, but it resides in an uncanny valley where I'm unsure if the ingredients should meet (at least this was the High Class Hillbilly) as the taste felt odd but not completely unpleasant. Their burgers are decent, but the fries are dry, cold, and uncrispy. I wouldn't recommend the bento box, which as a previous review had said, consisted of mostly oversalted edamame. However, one can choose from three sushi rolls and I enjoyed the Firecracker sushi roll immensely. There is also a mini burger and when they say mini, they mean mini, half the size of a slider. One of the most irksome and frustrating parts of the experience is the amount of the time we had to wait. Upon our arrival at 12:25, they informed us that we would need reservations and that the next one would be at 1:30. We booked through the hostess then looked online and realized online, there was an opening at 1:00, which wasn't offered to us. We are thinking this restaurant is crazy popular and crowded due to the wait time; however, we were surprised when over half the restaurant both indoor and outdoor were empty and were annoyed to have waited a half hour when there was space. Then after we ordered, our food took over half an hour to arrive adding to what was not a welcoming dining experience. I will note that our server was kind but not the most attentive.

This place is fun for sure but don’t go here hungry. I would have also expected more variety with “surf & turf” options. My food came out after the other 3 people had already finished their meals one of which was the same dish as mine. So I felt rushed trying to catch up. We all had a long drive ahead of us. The sweet potato fries were over cooked on everyone’s plate. My “mini” burger was so hard compared to my sisters that was pink & juicy ‍♀️ The manager did discount my meal and that’s the 4th star.

We had read the reviews and were looking forward to trying it. We were extremely disappointed. We ordered 1 dish (bento) and it took 30 minutes to receive. We watched 3 other groups that arrived after us receive their tables full of food. The waitress did not check on us even once. We had to flag down a runners to check on the food. The burger was cold and the sushi was warm...and not the right one we picked. We did not send it back since we never saw her and it took so long in the first place. We will not be returning or recommending

The food here was really good, I had the dynamic duo burger and it was actually the best burger I've had, which I didn't expect! My partner had the fusion bento box, which he enjoyed as it was a nice variety of stuff. However, just be aware that the 'mini burger' really is mini! I did expect it to be a little bigger but it didn't really need to be. Our server was very nice, she checked back in with us several times to make sure everything was alright. The woman at the check in desk downstairs was also very nice, so good service overall. Food and drinks didn't take too long and the bill arrived promptly. My only complaint would be that some of my fries were a little overcooked/hard or a little stale. The atmosphere was okay, but it felt very much like a theme park restaurant when we did expect more of a real restaurant atmosphere. It was a very quick, in an out meal, which isn't necessarily bad, but might not be what you're looking for.

Inedible. Not exaggerating. Chicken sandwich could not be consumed. Other things were... eatable. At best. Boof. Temper your expectations. Except total junk and you might be surprised!

That was the best sushi roll that I’ve had since I lived in Hawaii (which was still a whole different tier) but still, the Tropical Storm Roll has everything you need in an amazing roll. Quick services, great atmosphere for, great food.

Our server was not welcoming and didn't smile once. I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day or if he's on the verge of quitting! Overall, the food was decent but worst service I've seen in a long while.

La comida es deliciosa, las porciones enoooormes!!! Tómenlo en cuenta al ordenar. Es literal, una mezcla de sushi y hamburguesas.... Todo noa gustó!

Delicious burgers and sushi.. you will not find anywhere on CityWalk that can stuff you up for less then 25$ like cowfish

Super cool restaurant with unique decor and menu, but terrible execution... My burger came out under cooked and cold.. upon telling the server she kind of scoffed and said she'll bring me out a new one, great no problem wasn't her fault. My second burger came out as just a plain burger they tried to makeshift into the jalapeno poppers burger but didn't put any fried jalapenos or bacon on it and the smallest amount of cream cheese just to pass it off... I told her when she came back that it wasn't the same burger and it's missing everything. She scoffed again like I was the problem and said "well would you like me to bring some bacon on the side and jalapenos?" At that point we've been there for an hour and half and I just told her to take my food off because my party was pretty much done eating. Her attitude was unacceptable and the service was soooo slow. I wouldn't go back, it seems great on paper but it's over hyped mediocre food at best. The sushi was okay but I've paid half for better sushi.
