F21-S23: teas are overly sweet, i’ve asked for half the sweetener and they give me sugar free still sweetened to the max. (it ends up having that weird faux sweetener taste) lattes always have chunks of sugar chai tea is poured over ice while still smoldering, almost always watery. cold brew quite bitter — some may enjoy if you lack taste i feel horrible for the staff because they were super busy, but for some reason every drink tasted like salted caramel :( asked for a macchiato and got a gallon of milk & the staff were rude the expresso tastes like olive oil F23: they forgot to make my order boba is stale, not chewy, breaks apart when bitten into

Cheers! I fell in love w/ CBTL's hot vanillas and blended pure vanillas (with soymilk), the summer of 2018. They closed a couple of months when they transitioned from UCR to corporate, and reopened Nov 2018 in time for the holiday drink specials! ❄ Spring 2019 I finally joined their Rewards program, then they closed for a few months and completely remodeled. They reopened August 2019, complete with Tartan soul, and just in time for me to use my b-day reward To this location I've posted a mix of pre- and post- renovation pics UCR was closed Mar 2020-Sept 2021 due to COVID19. Summer 2023 I resumed my daily coffee on my campus days, typically a cafe vanilla or vanilla latte for the caffeine boost ☕ I enjoy trying something new at CBTL happy hour specials. The Rewards program helps make up for the fact that the large vanilla lattes can be a bit pricey, especially because I request oat milk. For years I've enjoyed their iced Tropical Passion tea, this year experienced their Tropical Passion tea latte! New for Fall 2023, I understand UCR's CBTL is one of few locations where you can try The Collection Boba & Brew! I tried the Ceylon Milk Tea but want to try it again with the brown sugar boba. I've tried various food items and highly recommend their Beyond breakfast sandwich and caprese sandwich I tried and loved their pretzel, egg and mozzarella sandwich, but unfortunately it has disappeared and I was informed it is a seasonal item I've indulged on their surprisingly tasty everything croissant, after my coworker who loves everything bagels gave it a try Vegetarian options: Tasty Beyond breakfast and caprese sandwiches Dietary restrictions: Milk alternatives available although the powders may still contain milk Parking: CBTL is located on campus, so parking requires a permit which you can purchase at the hourly kiosk at Lot 6 if you don't have a campus permit

This location is worth driving to, eventhough it's on an university campus. Have coupons? Use them all in one transaction, if you would like. A little cramped inside, but plenty of room outside.
