The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Been a few years since I've stepped in here (see original review below when I was paying retail), surprised to see they are now on 2g2g, decided to try my luck and grab a couple of surprise bags and thought it was nice of them to give 1.5hr window for collection. I worked late and managed to only arrive almost at 9p, surprised to see there were a few groups of people hanging out in there. Showed the app to one of the girls, she said they didn't have any surprise bags for that day..., now how is that my problem? I thought to myself. I told her that if they didn't have any, they should have cancelled the orders well before collection time as I made quite a drive to get there. She then said she'll text her manager. After a good 10mins, she came back out and the manager gave 2 options, get credit back thru the app or they'll give the surprise bags even though there are no "waste" that day. Of course I went for second option, I mean c'mon that was the whole objective of me being there . . . Staff are kinda snobby, otherwise coffee and tea are always good here

I love coming here, doesn’t matter who’s taking my order that person is always nice. It can get a little busy inside of here but not to the point where it feels over crowded. You get consistency here and there’s plenty of seating inside and out!!

Unfortunately service has gone way down. The new employees have not been trained on how to make the drinks. Multiple times this month alone I've bought a Chai Latte the description is "A delicious blend of freshly brewed Chai Tea, steamed non-fat milk and our French Deluxe™ vanilla powder. Our special Chai recipe is blended by hand using only the finest Darjeeling black tea from India, cinnamon cloves, cardamom, and other spices." And multiple times my drink has been made without the French Deluxe Vanilla Powder. I've also bought a pure Ice blended drink and twice this month it had coffee in it. (This is a "kid friendly" drink.) This location is near my house and I've been going here since this location first opened but sadly I'm now going to the Rose or Ventura locations because it's rare when my drink is made correctly and I order it as it's on the menu. I've never had my drink made incorrectly before, and I've been going to Coffee Bean for decades now. Mistakes happen, but I'm in there multiple times a week and sometimes multiple times a day and for only 3 drinks this month to be made correctly is pretty low out of the 19 I've bought. We're not even talking about the incorrectly made drinks during January or December. Please properly train your employees on how to make the drinks.

Don’t bother making a mobile order. There were two employees - one taking orders, and one making them. The one making them was ONLY making the orders that were placed in the restaurant, so everyone waiting for a mobile order were just standing around. I asked about my order twice, and waited a total of around 40 minutes, and still left empty handed since I didn’t want to keep bothering the workers. This isn’t the workers fault, this is corporate’s or whoever was managing the restaurant. If you know a coupon will bring in a lot more traffic than usual, have an extra person work that day. I don’t know exactly what messed up with my drink, but for me to spend 40 minutes and still leave empty handed is crazy. I won’t be coming back.

Customer service is not great. I get that I forgot to ask for oatmilk but they made us go back in line to charge us $.85. They also left my toasted bagel to get cold on the counter. Both my husband and I did not hear them call it out. But even if they did, they could’ve called it out at least one more time. Will be going back to Starbucks.

Estratégico lugar para esta cafetería. Una pena que no tenían ni cucharillas ni revolvedores de cafe. Simplemente no podías agitar tu bebida . Las galletas y el budín que comimos deliciosos.
