The Chicago Diner, Logan Square

I absolutely LOVE the food and service here. The truffle mushroom lentil loaf is to die for. We go every time we are in Chicago. Vegetarian options: Menu is all Vegan! Does offer dairy cheese for vegetarians.

Fantastic food. I’ve heard about the place for years so it was a must do on our weekend trip. It did not disappoint. Chicken Fried Steak was amazing.

Came here for the vegetarian biscuits and gravy, and was not disappointed at all!

The milkshake was amazing. Staff was friendly and service was fast. However each of the menu items we ordered (Thai chili wings, monte cristo, Cuban sandwich) were all really heavy handed with the seitan. I understand that’s how they were replacing the meat that would typically make up these dishes but often it was difficult to distinguish between any of the three items because in the end they all mostly tasted just of seitan.

Food was amazing! Large portions, tasty, fast! They have a Valentine’s Day menu. We had the CAULIFLOWER CRUSTED PORTABELLA CAKE and DIABLO DEL MAR (linguine). 5/5 Also the cinnamon roll was delicious. Great service! It was fast, kind and efficient. Also they played good music. Definitively coming back to try the regular menu.
