The Cheesecake Cafe

Online order. Food tasted decent, but portions are literally less than half the size. Triple layer chocolate cake used to be tall and the piece was good. Now it is tiny for over $10. Even with shrinkflation this is ridiculous. Also ordered GF cheesecake. Good flavour. But not fun pulling out all the blonde hairs from the piece. Will not order again. ** Edit Thank you for the response. I understand some thing go wrong for everyone, but how you deal with them as customer service matters and I appreciate the offer. Poor service, management, ownership, cleanliness, food. Terrible

I ordered German Chocolate Cake and Carrot Cake and I found both to be pretty dry; maybe day old or something? Just didn’t seem to be the best texture. Slow service as well - seemed like there maybe want enough staff or something. I worked here as one of my first jobs and it wasn’t as good as I remembered.

The group I went with had made a reservation, and the table was available. The problem was the service. 3/7 of us had arrived early and we sat for 15 minutes without anyone coming by to ask if we wanted drinks/ water. Once the rest of the group arrived they had to wait another 10 minutes for the server to come by. The food was mediocre. We didn’t have time to have dessert because we had a prior engagement elsewhere, but had the service been faster we would have been able to make it on time. In short: Slow service, don’t go if you have somewhere to be. Food was meh and it wasn’t cheap either.

We got the Tiramisu and cookie dough cheesecake which were okay. The Tiramisu was pretty decent but the cookie dough was much too sweet. Also, quite a lot for cheesecake.

My mom had my birthday cake made from here last year and this is how they made it. It was so bad and underwhelming that I had to go back and make a review a year later. It made such a lasting impression on me that this is the cake I think of when people talk about bad cakes.

This place was one of the best cafes I’ve ever been too for my birthday. They had great service, amazing food and the atmosphere was so nice I can’t even begin to describe how lovely it was to just sit there and talk with my mother while we ate good food!
