The Centro

There was basically nothing good about it dinner at Centro after the greeting at the door. The food was mediocre, at best. The charcuterie board, while of decent quality, was dropped off without explanation, and the blue cheese was crumbles from salad making. The salad was swimming in dressing.The steak was fatty and gristle-filled. The chicken piccata was dry and overcooked. Our waitress checked in, but clearly didn't care. At least we got $8 off pur parking for the $220 meal. This is not NOT Adega. I cannot imagine why we would return. Parking: $20 to park with $8 off if you spend $100 at Centro.

This dinner was fabulous. Loved everything except the fact the menu did not have prices.

Arguably my worst dinner experience ever. (I’m mid-60s y/o N Yorker so I’ve been around.) Ordered most expensive in-bone fillet minion medium rare, steak came back dried out and overcooked. Waiter agreed. He took it back and it came back virtually uncooked, unedible unless you’re into steak tatar which I’m not. Waiter & manager agreed & I left without eating but had to pay for the wine & appetizer. Nice waiter, pretty place but I’m never going back:(

Solid food and good central location downtown Cleveland in The 9 hotel. Good option for shows at Playhouse, around the corner. The prices are tough to swallow (figuratively). Pasta dishes are all $35, steaks are $60, and specialties are $40-50. On the other end, they have reasonably priced pizzas at $15, however there are better pizza options throughout downtown. I understand that you are paying for atmosphere and this is an upscale hotel, but there’s not much in the middle price point range to make this a regular meal downtown, unless you are there for a special occasion. Entrees were above average, though a little salty. Recommend the meatball and crispy polenta cubes.

Abby from the front is one in a million and incredibly accommodating! I appreciate her kindness and professionalism. Truly top notch! I hope she is recognized for her hard work and etiquette.
