The Castro Fountain

My favorite ice cream spot in SF. The scoops are great whether in a bowl or one of their awesome waffle cones. They have some solid cookies and brownies, but I think their chocolate cake is excellent and always worthy of a to-go slice. Staff has been awesome, the place is always clean (bathroom included), and it's located in a cool part of the city. 5 stars all the way.

A popular dessert spot in the Castro District, absolutely amazing, if you have a small or big tooth for desserts this spot might be it, cookies, ice cream, floats, and cakes. It has it all! Great pricing and tastes fresh. Would recommend this on any occasion.

Everything rawks about this place except for the hours! What cake and ice cream shop waits until 3:00 pm to open?!

A nice place to go for sweets. We had the pumpkin ginger snap ice cream, and it was wonderful. The baked goods look good. Brandon, who served us and was helpful and friendly, said that all of the ice cream and sweets are made onsite. Can sit down inside or outside. There is a restroom.

I tried the milk shake with a mix of two flavors (salted caramel and dark chocolate). It tasted good for the combination. The whipped cream tasted good and hand made, except for the cherry topping. Overall I would recommend try it out when you are in the area.
