The Captain's Boil

I have been to this restaurant many times before and this last visit was disappointing. I have noticed that many businesses and restaurants level of customer service and experience have degenerated over the last few years and this restaurant is added to that list. Food items we ordered were not available. The food we could order was overpriced for the quantity and portions. Food shown in menu are not true to picture. Lobster Bisque 12.99 for a small take out bowl worth way less. Lobster poutine, more cheese curds than lobster. Wine, beer served in plastic paper cups. Having been in Customer, Sales and Operations…my dining experience was not the greatest. You cannot skimp on food portions and a dining experience and charge prices that do not reflect that. Our server Lucas did his best to accommodate and answer our questions.

I am a frequent customer, I arrived with my family to show their service but they wanted to charge us an additional 15% to the bill for sitting together, the girl with bad manners did not give you a solution they simply made fun

thank you for making me the worst family day, My mother comes from Mexico and I wanted to show her our best place to eat to date, I haven't seen her for 6 years and today was a good day. They were charging us 15% for each dish for more than five people, We always tip and this place is not cheap! and if we are here it is because we always leave tips. It is a place where they want to take advantage of their costumers

I have horrible stomach pain from eating here. I got delivery so I can’t speak about the staff or restaurant environment. But I got the shrimp boil and it was gross. Some shrimp were so mushy it wouldn’t separate from the shell. Some had black spots on it. The potato just comes as a full potato sliced in half. And the corn they only gave me one tiny half cob. The flavour was also not tasty. I didn’t finish it. Will not eat here again.

It was just okay. Nothing really stood out. I remember when it first came to Toronto the buzz around it was crazy. I had this platter when they first opened at this location and now when I had it again I left thinking what the heck was all the hype about. It was empty at lunch hour. They need to do something to bring back the spark, its way too expensive for what you get.

Shared the pirates feast with my friend which was quite pricey, didn't taste great and we both got food poisoning from it.
