Website states no bookings except for dinner, but we arrived to find others had been able to book for drinks and/or sports. Wasn't particularly friendly service. Felt like we were in the way.
Popped in with an old friend after 25yrs...what a change. Great looking bar, good service and the food we saw looked good. Must admit that we didn't eat but all round...including immaculate loos...the place looks amazing.
Beautiful setting - we arrived early and we offered a seat at the bar. We enjoyed a round of drinks before our table was ready. Solid pint of Guinness! Table was ready on time and we were seated by a courteous host. We ordered two beef roast and a side of cauliflower cheese. When delivered my initial reaction felt it was a small portion for the price. However after tasting the food it was well worth the money. Overall the experience was enjoyable and we will return in the future.
I have been to the Cadogan twice in the past few weeks. We have lived in the area for 3 years and were hoping to make this our 'local' so try it from time to time, but sadly we prefer welcoming pubs with a decent wine by the glass list and friendlier staff. The staff here are impatient and surly, there are also way not enough of them. I can't comment on the food as we have never stayed long enough to eat. The place is full of loud shouty men and 'blond' women drinking pints. We prefer a glass of wine but the wine list is non existent unless you wish to pay mega bucks by the bottle, and what they have by the glass comes out of taps at the back of the bar. £16 odd for a puddle of ghastly Malbec and half a cider was the last straw yesterday and we left the wine and the pub, for good this time.
Nice decor and atmosphere. We sat in the restaurant section. The burger was great, we would get that again. Tried the roast after reading so many positive reviews about it. It was average, truly nothing special. I expect roast potatoes to be crispier and was also a little let down by the small portion size. I think better to stick to a nice pint and some snacks in the pub section.
Best Sunday roast lunch ✅
Great British food and service. Lots of good dishes. I highly recommend the scotch egg and the sticky toffee pudding
Hands down the best Sunday roast in London. We got the sharing board for three people and the flavours were amazing. I’d also recommend the trifle or sticky toffee pudding too! Amazing service and atmosphere. Special shout out to Louis who made us feel at home!
