A great little place located across from Chuy's on Bob Wallace. The staff here is very attentive to your needs and each waitress we've had has been extremely knowledgeable on what's on tap and what we may want to try out. The food is excellent! We tried the Cheesy Jalapeno Corn Dip & Chips and the Poutine as appetizers. A large amount of food and every bite was flavorful! For an entree we shared a L.A. Kogi Dog, the slaw is great and the secret weapon sauce was tangy / spicy but not overbearing. This will be a new stop in our rotation and we'll definitely be bringing friends and family!

(4.5 stars; not 5 only because I've only been there once so i don't know if they're consistently this good)I came in with a group of 4 around 10:30pm on a Sunday evening. I hadn't ever heard of The Brass Tap but they were the only place open other than fast food, so of course we wanted to try it.It was pretty empty (again, 10:30pm on a Sunday night) and was still fairly new--about 3 weeks old. Since it's so new, I'm sure that's why they were still on their best behavior, but my hope is they remain this good as they gain popularity because it was really a great experience. Here's what we ordered: the impossible burger, the kogi dog, boom boom shrimp, Brussels sprouts, and the five cheese flat bread with chicken and bbq sauce added.First, the side house salad was shockingly large, simple, and delicious. Just spring mix greens, cheese and roasted red pepper. No traditional toppings that usually come on a house salad (tomato, cucumber, red onion, bacon, etc.). It was a really good salad and refreshing. It went well with the kogi dog, which had cole slaw and pickled onion on it. I had to cut it in half to eat it since it came on a toasted (but not too toasted!) sub roll. There was also a sweet soy sauce-y sauce on the dog that seeped into the bread, but didn't make it soggy (good bread). My meal was great! My friend ordered the impossible burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles and pickled onion. There was no mayo on the burger, and it didnt need it! It dawned on her after she ate the burger that there was no mayo. Very unusual, but that's how good the burger was. She was disappointed there were no onion rings on the menu, but her fries were good.Another friend ordered the boom boom shrimp and the Brussels sprouts. The sprouts weren't overcooked or doused in unnecessary sauces. They were still a nice green color and had a bite to them (in terms of texture, not spice) and were quite tasty. (Why didn't anyone ever make them like this when I was a kid? Boiled Brussels are for suckers.) She enjoyed her boom boom shrimp, too. Huge pieces of shrimp in a metallic martini glass. They were sauce-y but also crunchy. Great flavor, great amount of spice.Lastly, my other friend ordered the five cheese flatbread and added chicken and bbq sauce. They weren't stingy with the chicken at all--it really covered the whole flatbread. The bread was nice and thin but not goopey or gooey; it held the toppings well and he said it was really good. The bbq sauce had a little kick to it as well (he took some to-go).The meal was great, honestly. I'm not in the habit of giving 5 stars to places I've only been once so I'm going with 4 here (since I can't give 4.5). I'm definitely going to go back, though, and my hope is that they continue with the great service (Hank was amazing!) and food. I feel a 5-star updated rating coming around the corner!

3 Stars because the food was good, when we finally got it. My first impression was that the dining room was VERY loud (think Drake's loud) so we sat on the patio. They have umbrellas but the tables are close and you can't adjust them without risking injury to folks at the next table, so sun in eyes for an hour. First drinks and an appetizer came out reasonably fast. The server finally came back 40 minutes later to take our entree and added drink orders. One glass of wine came out right away. One entree was delivered about 15 minutes later (Fish & Chips-highly recommended). the other two entrees (cheeseburgers, one with salad, one with tots, both good) were both delivered about 20 minutes after the Fish & Chips. There were no condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayo) on the burgers nor were any offered by the server. A very small serving of ketchup was on the plate for the Tater Tots. One drink ordered with the meals didn't come until we had finished all our meals (THAT should have been comped after waiting that long for a simple drink). None of the food deliveries were made by our server, but by runners or other servers. The 3 meals plus two beers and two glasses of wine and a tiny 'margarita' came close to $100. Final complaint: the check is not printed out and presented on a tray or folder, but is on a handheld device that the server also uses to take your order. If you want to see an itemized check, the server has to scroll around and let you try to read it off the screen, then your credit card is swiped by the same device and you fingersign the screen. I DO like that your card is not taken away but in sight the whole transaction, but I don't know how you get a receipt, maybe email? Overall it was not a great experience and I hope it the issues with delivery, timing and service will be ironed out soon because the food seems good if a little expensive when you have a few beverages. I probably won't return until a good number of better reviews are posted..
