Racist bouncers said that my friend couldn’t enter due to “attitude” with no basis to judge so, purely making their judgement based on skin color. For context, we were coming from a black tie fundraiser and dressed to the nines when this happened. This bar made my friends cry and broke my friend’s shoe heels and didn’t think anything of it. Bonus points: the racist bouncers were discriminating against people of their same skin color.

It's a fine place to hang out. Drinks cheaper than what you normally get in River North. Also much more laid back than the Hubbard Street institutions. Service was questionable - I walk in ready to order drinks for my group and the bartender walks over to my side of the bar, looks directly behind me to her friends that came to visit, and hugs them over the bar and starts chatting with them. After a good minute or so, she looks over at the other bartender and signals to her to take my order... I get that part of the job of a bartender is to socialize a little, but primarily you should be serving drinks. She was catching up with her friends right in front of me and left her coworker to work the entire bar by herself (this was a busy Friday night too btw). I felt bad for the coworker who ended up serving me instead for having to pick up the slack. Gave her a good tip. Anyway, the bar is fine. Good place to stop by for a drink or two before moving on to a better bar.
