The Boathouse Restaurant

Below average food for maximum price. The patio is over heated which makes it uncomfortable. No atmosphere inside. Service is okay but the most disappointing is the food. Despite a nice menu, food has no inspiration at all. The only good thing is the view, which makes the whole deal a pity. The place could be so great yet, this is the total opposite.

I live the boathouse is consistent. The view is amazing. The food was delicious and we got a free cake for my friend's birthday I highly recommend it for all occasions. Make sure to make a reservation. This location can get busy.

We popped in for drinks on Valentine's and even without a reservation they happily let us sit at the bar for an hour while we waited for some friends. Wait staff was superb. We will definitely come back for a lunch when the sun is out for the views.

Went to dinner this evening and ordered the Wild Green Salad- which consisted of walnuts and lettuce (no other vegetables) and requested salmon to be added. The salad was small portion compared to Cactus Club. Once we were ready to pay - I noticed I was charged $17 for salmon. When asked where the price for the side salmon on the menu is located, they informed me that they did not have room to write it down on the menu, as the menu had changed. I informed the manager that many places such cactus club charge between $5-$9.5 for adding salmon to a salad and he stated adding chicken to a salad is $9.5 at their restaurant. He continued to informed me the size of our salmon is bigger (it was 5 oz salmon) and that their menu salmon entree is $37, they have taken $20 off that. It felt I was given a bunch of excuses by the manager with his nonchalant demeanour. He gave me two coupons for appetizer's that doesn't even cover the the cost. The salad was definitely not worth $ 31.25. I will not be going back!
