The Bluegrass Lounge - Olde Town

This place is fun! The food is good, and fun, who doesn't think pizza and garlic knots are fun, right?! The atmosphere is rowdy, not my idea of a place to have a romantic dinner or serious conversation though. Like I said, it's rowdy, but a good kinda rowdy. We were there on Thursday with Scotty playing, apparently he owns Thursday night there, and engaging this very talented singer/guitar guy is my recommendation for enjoying yourselves.

Food was blasé, especially for the price - drinks weren't great either - very crowded & staff was quite haughty. Will not return.

I’ve been going to Bluegrass for a couple years and the atmosphere is great and coffee and food is usually pretty good for the area. Did run into poor customer service with the barista today forcing me write a review which I never do. Barrel aged cold brew tasted like straight alcohol, and while the name says it in itself, I didn’t expect it to feel like I was drinking straight whiskey in the morning and was anticipating a lighter taste. Barista never recommended if I wanted to try it, and while I never would expect that question, I did ask if I could substitute it with the cheaper nitro cold brew since I just paid $6.50 for a small drink I took one sip from, which was followed with an automatic rejection, smirky sarcasm/eye roll to my polite complaint about the taste, and rude response that I should’ve asked to try it first. With that, I would not qualify this as a friendly local shop. Best shops typically work with the customer on a solution, and being someone who worked in the food and coffee industry for years, when a customer is dissatisfied with a drink or food, with only one bite/sip into it, I would work with the customer and manager on a solution/friendly exchange. The barista’s sarcastic and rude response to the situation lost a regular customer today.

Servers are inattentive. Been a couple times and it's always the same. You can make eye contact with with blonde guy a hundred times and he won't ever think to ask for your order. Everyone is behind the bar texting and gossiping and no real work is done. Food is fine but I guess you have to flash the staff to get your order taken EDIT to the owner who replied You were not busy at all. Two tables who already had food, one guy at the bar and me. I sat at the bar to order a drink, I did not need to go to the register and ALL THREE workers behind the counter were ON THEIR PHONES and chatting and could have even so much as greeted me. But no. I am in the industry and I would fire my staff so fast if they acted like this in front of patrons.

Went in late, Eli was super rude because they were closing. Disrespectful and made us feel like we were not welcome. Even mean mugged us. Unbelievable
