Despite only one bartender she did a fabulous job
"Open" on Google apparently means closed in reality...
We had such a great time at their music bingo night! This place is truly a hidden gem. We snacked on loaded nachos (the best I have ever had) and the big pretzel with beer cheese. The food was sooooo good! The service was prompt and attentive by our server Donna. Trust me you will not regret stopping at The Belgian Monk!
Took almost 30 minutes to get a side salad in a 5 by 5 bowl, it was carrots and lettuce, $7. Food was cold, all of it, if you want a beer, cool, You’re good do not take a date there you won’t get a second one, I’m told me how good that place was really excited to go there and we ain’t going back Overall rating:
12/2023 EDIT: Made a 2nd trip to the Monk after having not visited in ~3yrs. The service by bartender, Lori, was exceptional! Tried some small samples of the 'out of this world' Belgian beers on tap and honed in on what I liked best. Lori also ensured that the wine my wife ordered was from a bottle opened same-day. Can't wait to return! Will also sample the food on our next visit. 12/2020: Great selection of Belgian beer on tap but that's where the charm of this place ends. The setting is nothing like an actual bar in Belgium and the quality control in non-existent. My wife is not a beer drinker and ordered a glass of wine while I drank beer. My tripel was outstanding but her cabernet was spoiled to the point that it could not be consumed.
Talk about a hidden, sort of, gem. Very small and quaint, but the food, service and atmosphere did not disappoint! Parking: You can park on the side or in the back area.
