The Bar - Handrolls by Seabutter

Food wasn't it. A few dishes stood but the basic rolls were bland. The salmon truffle and wagyu are misguided. Far better sushi in near proximity. Between the two of us we tried about half the menu. Server with black hair, bangs was incredibly rude. Would go to the back and loudly talk about customers in a derogatory manner, very strange. One of the chefs said she does that all the time? Are you kidding? This place is a joke. Shame because the potential is there.

Pros: Service - excellent and unusually attentive Atmosphere - really nice ambience. I like the open bar feel with warm lighting. I wouldn’t be good if you go with a talkative person though. Not the best place to have a conversation. lol Con: Food - not terrible, but there are many other places in the city to get better quality sushi/rolls for equal or slightly higher price.

Not good at all!!!! My stomach hurts! The wagu isn’t wagu it’s mince meat! don’t waste your money very low quality food.sent my food back. The food was so bad I had to season it myself.

Finally got to stop by this place and I am so sad it took me this long because it was so good! The freshness of their dishes is unmatched. Every bite that I had was incredible. I will definitely be back. The only thing I didn't care for was the truffle salmon. It lacked a bit of depth and seasoning the other dishes had. The amberjack was my favorite! I also like that they have a veggie menu. The inside is beautiful as well. The woodwork was well done. And the staff friendly. Recommend!

Great new restaurant in the neighborhood, a unique take on sushi, with a majority of the menu as hand rolls with very cool combinations of flavors . 22 seats in a circle and super fun if you have some fun neighbors. I highly recommend it.

Unbelievable quality

The service is amazing, no doubt. I was disappointed that the spicy tuna and spicy rolls were really basic rolls. I can only recommend this place if you've got a date and want a quick sushi fix. Side note. Their unagi is not fresh, it's prepackaged, and while that's ok, I really like my unagi fresh. 100 for service 66 for food.

Absolutely love this place, from the setting of seats, to their “without-any-room-to-complain” food and excellent services!! I ordered “seabutter deluxe”, with 5 hand rolls I was already full as each roll had plenty of sashimi. I went with a 4-year-old kid, I tried to order a “Wagyu Don” but requested for more well done. However, I was told that the wagyu beef must be cooked as medium rare in order to maximize its tastiness. I respected a lot on this as the chef is right, sometimes not everything could be compromised, especially for good food . Didn’t regret for still ordering one Wagyu Don, my son told me it was the best rice he ever had . My 9-year-old son ordered a Salmon Don. Overall we were very satisfied and definitely will come back again!
