Whenever I think of my time in NYC, this place is what comes to my mind first. SO amazing- it truly transports you to the 20’s. There are so many man-made speakeasies in the world and in NYC, but this is a genuine speakeasy with history and ambiance to back it up. Though the journey here was a bit confusing and….interesting, do yourself a favor and please go! Cocktails were yummy and strong, they even had a guy there talking about the history of it. We look forward to going back when they have live jazz! Can’t wait!

El ambiente y la atmósfera estaban bien, me acerqué a la barra y pedí a bartender su mejor trago y me devolvió algo extremadamente feo. No quiero imaginarme cómo será el peor.

The doormens are extremely rude and push on you restrictions that do not apply if you share their skin color. Truly shameful….

As one of two of New York's only prohibition era speakeasies, the Back Room is sure to charm. Walk down a concrete alley way and soon find yourself immersed in 1920's atmosphere. If you're under 25, you probably won't be let in on a weekend, but you're totally fine on a week day. Go around 8 before it gets too crowded. Cash only on weekdays and no food, so plan accordingly!
