The Anvil Pub and Grill

Saw football (soccer) game with friends. Wait staff was very good. I got the English Breakfast, but wasn't impressed with it. I like my bacon crispy.

I was looking for some good Fish and Chips and decided on this restaurant. It was my first time there - the place was so quiet and clean! Service was great and the food was delicious! We will be back and we highly recommend the brussel sprouts appetizer!

The hamburger was so very good, and the thick fries were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Went on 1/20/23 around 1 pm. Got the fish and chips and the Anvil Burger. The fish and chips were good. The burger was awful. The bottom bun was soaking wet like it had been sitting in water and it was quite frankly bland. But that's not the reason for the bad score. Our waiter took our order and we never saw him again until we were finished. My wife ate her entire meal without anything to drink (she finished her water before food arrived.) I guess the cook brought our food out we told him we needed water, salt and malt vinegar but we never got any of that. It was some of the worst service I've had in a while. I tipped anyway but this is part of the reason people don't tip well anymore.

Came here for NYE with some friends (not gonna lie, was mainly watching the Chiefs play, not paying attention to them). The place was basically empty so that was kinda weird. Maybe people in the south stay home NYE with family/friends or drink at bars early in the day? The waiter and bartender really didn't seem to be happy working on the holiday. I'd be more empathetic, but I did it for over a decade in the military and 12-15 hr midshifts, soooooo... Otherwise, the food was outstanding. I got the "good luck" meal (yes, I'm one of those heinous white people appropriating black culture, apparently ). Either way, the pork belly was amazing and it was beyond flavorful. Scarfed it down in no time. I didn't get anything besides water to drink but my friends loved their fruity pink concoction, so that was a win as well. Altogether a great visit.

Food is always great. I really enjoy the different seasonal menu. Love the location and the fact that I can always get a great selection of European beers. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous interior. Great place to watch Liverpool! Super-friendly owners filling pints. Will absolutely return!

Was visiting here from TX and my sons brought me here for dinner. The Fish and Chips dinner was excellent as was the service. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again.
