Like most thai restaurants, it is clean and cozy. Prices are a touch up there but you definitely get what you pay for. Food is solid.
Loved this place for over 20 years!
My wife and I agree that we had the best meal of our (32 years of) life here. Service was incredible, atmosphere was perfect, food was a work of art!
03/19/24: lunch today was great! Even though it's pricier than some other places, food is very good here. 08:29: came back for lunch and had their Yam Woon sen Thai Salad with chicken and added shrimp. It was delicious, filling, and refreshing. It is not, unfortunately, on the lunch menu though. I also got the fried calamari and it was ok. Batter was not very flavorful but maybe it's supposed to be like that. Food is still very good here so it'll be in my rotation Came for lunch and entrees came with an egg roll and either a salad or cup of soup. Everyone enjoyed their food but it is pricey for lunch. They have a lot of options on their menu.
Everything is so good! The yam woonsen salad is amazing, it has such a fresh taste. You can't go wrong with the curries, either, they're so savory and delicious. Vegetarian options: Noodles dishes can be made vegan by request. Tom kha soup is a great choice to split with a friend.
If you want excellent Thai food in the UTD area...this is it. Food and service are amazing here. I have loved everything I've tried here so far (ordered from them multiple times and never had a single complaint).
Very good food with limited seating. Definitely try the thai coffee and soup and egg roll. Based on what we had. Everything on the menu seems like a safe choice.
We happened upon the BEST Thai restaurant, Thai Soon, in Richardson! Portion size was great, a tiny but quaint place facing Coit Rd, just south of Beltline. Actual address is 101 S. Coit Rd, Suite 401. We always start off with spring rolls. If you want oil free you need to specify steamed tofu, not fried. I had the Cashew Nut Entree with Brown rice that was heaping with fresh veggies ! I had a spice level of 3 and it was perfect for my spicy palate. Pat chose a Pad Thai with Veggies as well. Both of us agreed that it was the best Thai food we have ever had in Dallas (and we have frequented many)! We followed up with Purple Sticky Rice for dessert, and it was a 10/10! Not the right season for Mango Sticky Rice, so we tried something new, and cannot wait to return! Prices very reasonable as well! You won’t regret a visit to Thai Soon In Richardson. Vegetarian options: You can substitute tofu in most all dishes. Just be sure to tell them that you are Vegan and cannot eat any animal products.
