Lovely family owned business filled with charm. The food is consistently wonderful filled with excellent flavor. We consistently order the appetizer chicken satay with peanut sauce that is spectacular followed by any of the main dishes that are always favorable and freshly made to order. Thank you Thai Opel and we look forward to dinner with you again in the very near future!
This place has gone downhill and it pains me to say it. I used to come here weekly and I’ve seen how far this place has fallen. The food: twice have I gotten raw chicken. Neither time was it comped even when confirmed that it was undercooked. This last time, the pictures will tell the story about the sheer amount of oil used in these dishes. That never happened before. And that was my SECOND plate I filled with oil from ONE entree. That’s not okay. The Thai tea also dropped in quality. It used to be my favorite and now I can’t even finish it. The service: I’m a server so I understand that people have off nights, but this place consistently has the worst service I’ve ever had. I don’t want to be pessimistic, but it’s true. Overall: after years of thinking “I’ll give it one more chance,” I am officially calling it quits. It pains me to do so, since I used to be a major supporter and patron, but it is what it is. I hope they change back to the old Opal soon, because I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way.
Turned us away after asking us to wait.
Amazing Thai food with cozy and warm ambiance. Tried their red curry, green curry, garlic vegetable, Panang curry and papaya salad. Everything came out good but red curry is the best. Service is quick and courteous. Lot of vegetarian option is add on. Good place for nice family fine dining.
I love Thai Opal!! It is consistently delicious. The restaurant is clean and the servers are very polite. The owner, Susan, is a gem. My favorite dish is the Thai opal chicken fried rice with fried chicken - yum!!
I ordered the Chicken and shrimp pad see ew. The eggs and sauce tasted burned. The chicken was very dry and there was way too much sauce, possibly to try to cover the dry chicken. I also got the Thai tea and it was super bitter and not drinkable. I have dined in and ordered here many times before and never had this issue. This meal was very off-putting.
1st time there and last. Sorry food wasn't cooked all the way. Will not go back
Great service and flavorful food
