Best thai iv had so far in canada. I had chicken satay. Just like the stuff in thailand. Great price! Authentic and fast!! Homey
they have been consistently good quality, fresh, authentic, and well priced food. Service is good. I heard the owner treats them to vacations and treats them very well which is important. I have been a regular for many years. Some of their dishes are better than others. Of course certain places offer a tastier Thai dish for 18-30 dollars but I’m often paying only 12-15 dollars at Thai basil. Sometimes I love my dish, sometimes it’s ok, sometimes I don’t like it much. But overall I am a consistent customer for many years.
Pros: Indulge in authentic Thai flavors like pad Thai and red curry. Enjoy hassle-free parking nearby. Relish the charming ambiance for a delightful dining experience. Cons: During peak hours, expect potential longer wait times. Calling ahead is recommended for better planning
Ordered the Thai noodle soup for lunch: no seasoning/spice/flavour - liquid was like hot water, not the nuanced Thai flavours or chemical heat I was hoping for/expecting. I wasn’t asked for spice level when ordering. So disappointed.
Cheapest Thai option I've managed to find in the area. Not the best, but good enough that I keep coming back. Wouldn't recommend the BKK Pad Thai or the Lunch Special Soup (broth and noodles with choice of protein), both are flavourless to the point of being gross. Service is relatively quick and staff are always nice.
