I usually love this Texas Roadhouse, but today was extremely dissapointing. I was excited to come because I had a gift card from my birthday. First we were given regular butter with our rolls. The waitress was able to get us cinnamon butters. When I put in my order for rice, I was told there was no rice and when I let them know I was willing to wait, the waitress told me to give her a backup side in case the rice isn't ready because she isn't able to tell me how long it will take. I reluctantly gave her 2 different sides. When my food came out, the steak was bland and tasted like charcoal, completely different from the steaks I've had before here. It hadn't even been 15 minutes since our food was given to us when the waitress asked me if I wanted a box. I said yes because I was ready to leave. As I was leaving, I see people getting their orders of rice while I had to pay for 2 sides I was not interested in. I didn't even use my gift card because the meal was not what I wanted. There seemed to be a lot of new people working, so I'm hoping this is just a lack of training, but I am deeply disappointed.
The food and service were excellent. The person bussing the tables was so rambunctious about throwing the dishes in the tub it made me jump because it was so loud. It was even louder when he was in the next section over. He left napkins and papers on the floor. We spoke to the manager about the situation, explaining that it doesn't make for a pleasant dining experience. It got a bit better, and he came back to pick up the items left on the floor.
