I’m still trying to figure out how this wonderful restaurant is hidden away at the top floor in a mall. The food was fantastic. I had the best butternut squash soup I’ve had in a very long time. I also had the chicken Caesar salad, which was fantastic with freshly cooked chicken (not the usual dried out slivers of meat you get it most restaurants) and I don’t usually order dessert, but it was part of a prefix lunch menu, and it was also terrific and very refreshing. Don’t miss this place if you go to South Coast Plaza. (It is in the mall building with Crate and Barrel).
Rude stuff. Disgusting food.
Very very small portions for the price. Most of the staff were very good and accommodating. Let’s just leave it at that.
For an upscale restaurant with $$$ pricing, this was just OK. Any Filipino will tell you for the price of $30 that's an overpriced plate! Your $30 only gets you 2 pieces of longganisa, sunny side up egg, adobo (really? one tiny piece of meat that can hide under a sunny side up egg?) and 2 thin pieces of lumpia. Then they fill half the plate with pork rind (chicharon). The food doesn't taste bad, but doesn't give you that "I want to come back again" feeling. Servers were friendly. Place was clean. Comfortable seating in the patio. Now maybe if they had sisig instead of the chicharon, I might have a different review. In summary - it's not a bad place to eat at. Food was OK. Spectacular? No. Pricey? Yeah, I get it - it's in South Coast Plaza. Rent must be high.
I was so excited to take my mom and brother to this restaurant and when we arrived at the host stand, we were completely ignored. We stood there waiting to be greeted and 2 different servers said they would seat us shortly and then proceeded to go on with their tasks and ignore us. The 3rd server came up and said it would be a 30 minute wait when the restaurant was obviously empty. When I let him know that we were just told we would be seated, he then walked away and no one came back. It was obvious they were deliberately ignoring us- I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone. We went downstairs to Tableau instead and it was fabulous.
