Ten Tables

Update: Surprised the "kitchen appreciation fee" is increased to 7%. I'm not paying your kitchen staff, the business owner should do that. I have always enjoyed it here (and loved the basil gelato they had the one time), but the last time I visited, service was very slow (the place wasn't full but there was only one person working at the tables. For one of our entrees, the chef had to bring it to us from the kitchen). Food was still fine, however, at the end of the meal, I was surprised by the additional 5% they tag onto the bill (now I know it's a disclaimer at the bottom of the menu). It's apparently a "kitchen appreciation" fee. The kitchen staff should be paid a living salary and customers should not have to be forced to pay an additional 5%. This fee culture in the US seems to be getting a little out of hand. The tables are quite small but the atmosphere is still homey so I don't mind. It does make eating a bit difficult if you have multiple dishes and multiple people and you easily run out of space.

The gnocchi was unbelievable.

Good food but service is painfully slow. Took over half an hour for them to take our order. There was only one person seating customers, manning the bar and taking orders so theyre clearly understaffed.

I’ve got to say that this is the most overrated restaurant in Boston. We were ignored for the first 15 minutes of our arrival (right when they opened; no one else in the restaurant). The menu was unimaginative and the execution of the food, poor. They also had only half of the beers listed on their menu. The Korean chicken app was overcooked and very average (you have likely have had chicken tenders at home that were better). The beef stroganoff was surprising bad: a watery flavorless sauce, over cooked beef and very thin noodles. The wagu burger was very tasty, though the fries were over-cooked. I think it’s time for some changes at this place imho.

The food was really good, the only reason it wasn’t 5 stars is because how tiny the tables for two are. We could barely fit two plates on the table and it just felt extremely cramped inside. If you go with a bigger group and get a table it would probably be best!

Amazing ambience and decent service; the quantity of the entree's could have been a bit more to justify the price. Great experience overall!
