This unique Chinese green tea is harvested in early spring, when the leaves are tender and silvery-white in appearance; hence the name. Developed in 1979, this tea comes from Mt. Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea

Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong Black Tea
This black tea is often mis-labeled as Lapsang Souchong, a smoky black tea, but it is actually quite different. Coming from Tongmuguan Village in northern Wuyi Mountains, this tea was cured with the smoke from pine cone and pine needles for more than 20 hours. The flavor is sweet and fruity, with reminiscence of sweet potato and dragon fruit and pleasant smoked pine wood fragrance.
Puerh and Dark Teas
Bing Dao Raw Puerh
We are proud to introduce Ku Chas's first exclusive puerh pressing. Bing Dao Puerh is named after its village of origin, Bing Dao Village of Mengku County, Yunnan Province, China. Bing Dao means "a village with bamboo gate" in Thai. Local villagers, mainly tribal Thai people, have a documented tea growing history dating back to the 15th century. Bing Dao is made from ancient tea trees (gu shu) more than 300 years old and is stone-pressed in the traditional manner. The trees grow on the sunny side of Bang Ma Mountain, more than 2500m above sea level. As a high mountain tea, Bing Dao brews sweet, rich, and is pleasantly refreshing with almost no astringency. Moreover, it has a lasting sweet after-taste (huigan) in the throat, and is sheng jin in character, meaning that it leaves the palate feeling quenched. The fragrance is lightly citrusy and flowery, with a note of wild honey. Our Bing Dao cake is made with 2012 tea leaves and is a great candidate for further aging.

"Meaning ""high mountain impression"", this raw puerh tea comes from a single farmer's tea garden in Stone Village, situated on Nan Nuo Shan, one of Yunnan's six famous tea mountains. Our Gao Shan was harvested from ancient arbor tea trees over a hundred years old and was stone-pressed in the traditional manner. The laoshu (old tree) origins of this tea are evident in its well-balanced structure, starting with an intensely floral nose, rich buttery palate, and finishing with a firm but pleasing kuwei (good bitterness)."

Sweet Rice Raw Puerh Tea
This loose leaf sheng (raw) puerh is produced by Hmong people in Pingbian, a small town in southern Yunnan Province. It has a very unique sweet rice flavor that is both earthy and cooling. Its hearty taste and aroma will leave you refreshed and energized.
Tangerine Puerh Ball
This tea is composed of fermented tea leaves aged inside a tangerine rind, which imparts a light citrusy sweetness to the brewed tea. It is produced in Xin Hui, Guangdong Province and it is known for the health benefits of Sheng Jin (making your mouth feel quenched), Run Fei Zhi Ke (suppressing coughs and nurturing lung performance), and Qu Re (reducing internal heat). Add a few pieces of the rind to your teapot to really get that tangerine flavor.
Tiger Mountain Raw Puerh Tea
This raw puerh cake comes from Tiger Mountain, LinCang County, Yunnan Province, China. Made from the leaves of wild tea trees, this tea brews bright, complex, bitter sweet, with strong Cha Qi (tea energy), and noticeable pear fruitiness. A young Puerh from 2017, it is a great candidate for further aging.
