They were closed but they still let me buy some stuff

TL;DR: Deliberately tried to overcharge me, hoping I wouldn't notice. I was swimming with a friend and their baby at the YMCA. After our swim, I went to grab a snack—a size small chocolate frozen yogurt. It was listed on the menu board at $4.99. When the purchase was rung up, the machine asked me if I wanted to tip (absolutely not—I won't tip for anything short of table service), and the total cost was around $6.10. I thought that was weird since a 5% tax on $4.99 is only about $5.24. I pointed out the discrepancy to the guy behind the counter, and he immediately got argumentative. He said I was wrong. I told him I could literally see the advertised price of $4.99. He asked me where and gestured around, I pointed at the large bright menu board. He said it was wrong and that those prices were changed years ago. He refused to sell me the snack at the advertised price and rolled his eyes at me when I told him to cancel the order. It was a very weird interaction. It became immediately belligerent, and it made me wonder how long he had been overcharging people. I imagine most of his customers are parents who would be too busy to notice a slightly higher charge. But, because he refused to honor the advertised price, I will also be submitting this review to the local Yogen Früz franchise licence manager and the YMCA Calgary board for review. I'm sure the franchise license manager would want to know about how this location's business practices are impacting their brand, and I know the YMCA board strives to promote a fair and equitable environment—they would want to know if one of their lessees is being unscrupulous. Trying to scam me and others out of 25¢ is not worth it.

I am extremely upset with the very poor customer service I have received at the Yogen Fruz store located inside the Remington YMCA in Quarry Park. I had ordered a green tea flavoured frozen yogurt, however, what I got was a cup of frozen yogurt which both looked and tasted like plain vanilla. When I brought this up to the man at the counter he claimed he had poured in the recommended amount of flavouring to my yogurt. This didn't seem to be the case and I had politely asked if she could add some more flavouring so that I can enjoy the yogurt. Instead of obliging, the man started antagonizing us when all I wanted was a simple modification to my order. By this point I just wanted a refund. The yougurt had barely even been touched so it's only fair to get a refund because I was not satisfied with the product. Instead of obliging, the man had turned his back on me, making sly comments about him not asking me to buy from his store. I had left the yogurt at the counter and am still uncompensated for this. Usually I would just let something like this go because it is not worth the trouble. However, I have been a regular customer at this store and have spent my hard earned money here repeatedly. I thought this loyalty meant something, but apparently not. As a matter of fact, even if I was a first time buyer, I still deserve some consideration for my request because it is just good customer service and business practice. This store won't be getting my business anymore and I urge my friends and famliy not to go there either.

I stopped here to get yogenfruz for my three children after swimming at the YMCA today. My children were deciding on toppings and my five year old reached up to point but her hand bumped the container of almonds which was sitting on top of another toppings container. Both containers knocked over and the contents spilled onto the counter. I told my daughter she needed to apologize and when the man who was working came out from the back room she immediately said she was sorry. His response was "You can apologize but now I have spoiled goods that I can't sell". Shocked by his reaction I asked if he wanted me to pay for the toppings. He replied that he didn't want to have to pay for them. He rung me up for $10.50 for the spilled toppings. I paid, apologized again and we left immediately, the children and I feeling very upset by the encounter. I took my children elsewhere for treats.
