Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar

This location is small and the wait will probably be long but trust me, it'll be well worth it. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the service is friendly/knowledgeable. I had THE BEST whole dugneness crab here. They serve it with their House OMG Sauce and yes, it lives up to its name!

If you like shellfish, and enjoy a casual seafood market vibe, this is the place for you. Taylor, being the biggest Shellfish farm in pacific northwest, brings you the freshest and best local selections. We had dinner at their Melrose location, and enjoyed the Sunseekers oysters very much. We also ordered steamed mussels and Caesar salad with crab. Everything was excellent. The salad with a ton of freshly picked crab probably never gets any recognition but it was just perfect. Another dish i would recommend would be the geoduck sashimi, but that may be an acquired taste for some. If you like oysters, skip all the restaurants that offer the ho-hum oysters and come get the best from Taylor.

Delicious food! The staff were friendly and gave us a nice breakdown of the menu including which wines went well with the oysters. The space was cool with bubbling tanks of seafood in the center of the room. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the mood to eat some fishies

The waitstaff sucks, and they can afford to because they build in an automatic 19% tip into your bill. Food was good, but you will pay an arm and a leg + auto tip of 19%

I often get shellfish to go, to cook at home. Taylor is absolutely where I go to get my mussels, clams, and oysters!
