Went on a Sunday by myself. The door guy asked if I had a reservation. I did not. He said I'd have to wait outside. I asked if I could wait at the bar, because I was by myself. He said no. I said I hadn't ever been to a bar that didn't let people stand by the bar and order a drink. He said, "there's a first time for everything." I left. Way too many good bars in this area to be waiting outside in the cold on a Sunday evening.
My husband and I shared the Thai shrimps wontons. The sauce was amazing and a perfect compliment to the crispy shrimp wonton. Good beer selection even if limited. The special was beef wagu tacos. Three little ones but also very tasty with Mexican rice and black beans. Plenty of food. Parking: Located on Cedros Avenue in the Belly Up venue. Some public parking on the side of the building to the south.
Great place to grab a bite before a Belly Up concert show. I went with the fillet mignon great flavors and cooked just how I asked for it beautiful.
The special, wagu tacos, off the menu Thai Chicken pot stickers were wonderful.
Guy at the door treated my girlfriend like trash. I wanted to meet her for drinks before she met her mother for a show at the venue next door. He was so overweight he couldn’t even stand up to do his job. Very unprofessional- sitting on the bench in baseball shorts, drinking from a plastic cup, hair pulled back in a nasty little rat tail. He didn’t even stand up to talk to her to let her know the bar was full. Creepy, creepy, creepy. At least stand up and talk to people directly. For all she knew he was just some random dude. He told her it was full and then proceeded to let in two other girls. We ended up getting drinks up the street instead. Please hire someone who has a professional manner to better direct customers outside your door.
Food was amazing. Had the grilled filet mignon medallions.
