Can't really review the food. Never got waited on. Sat down wait a few minutes watched a woman coming after me approach a server and they were attentive to her. Watched another server looking at pictures. Asked a gentleman who appeared to be working there is anybody working here and he replied yes what do you need I don't know a better attitude a menu something. Ended up leaving
Arrived at 7:30pm and then said they were closed, when they close at 8. Met with an extremely rude response when asked if they were open. Lazy workers can’t be expected to do their jobs for weary travelers.
Disappointing Experience. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the recent service I received at your establishment, specifically on a Friday at approximately 7:10 PM. I believe it is important to bring this matter to your attention in the hope of improving future customer experiences. According to your website, the bar's closing time is stated as 8:00 PM. With this information in mind, I arrived at the bar at 7:10 PM, assuming I would still be able to enjoy a drink before closing. However, I was met with a closed gate and received unwelcoming looks from your staff upon entering. What added to my disappointment was the manner in which I was addressed by one of your staff members. Instead of a polite explanation or an apology for the misunderstanding, I was met with a rather rude comment that said, "You walked through the closed gates, bud." The response lacked the courtesy and professionalism I expected from your establishment. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could clarify and update the closing time information on your website to avoid any future confusion.
Good place for a quick drink and bite when waiting for the train. Pizza is a misnomer it's more like a flatbread. Buffalo wings were delicious.
Great and friendly service.
Great and friendly service.
A great place to eat if waiting for your next train or want something quick before heading off to your hotel… And the prices are TRAVELER FRIENDLY!!! TSQ is not here to break your pockets like most transportation hub eateries… The portions could be a little bigger but to be honest the portions are enough if waiting for a train or bus that you don’t have to worry about a To Go box. They also had the BEST guacamole I have ever had in a long time for a small amount of money… I might have to grab and early train next time just for an excuse to eat there! 😅😂🤣
A small tavern at South Station train terminus. Good service, cold beers and friendly conversation. Didn't eat but my neighbours had good things to say about their pizza. Must commend the tavern for being the only place at the station with workable WiFi...
A good place to relax a bit while waiting between transportation. Right in the middle of everything in South Station. Can sit at tables or the bar and watch TVs while eating or drinking. Had the BBQ sandwich with chips, grilled like a panini. Tasty. Friendly waitstaff.
⁃ This is the perfect watering hole stop and place to grab a bite just before (or after) getting onto the train/bus in South Station in Boston. South Station is the main hub in downtown Boston for Amtrak and MBTA trains, the subway, MBTA and other buses (eg Greyhound, Megabus, Boltbus, etc) and the subway. ⁃ It’s impossible to miss, smack in the middle of South Station. ⁃ It’s surrounded by a barrier (with the entrance open) so you have some sort of privacy as you eat and drink. ⁃ They have bar stools at the bar itself but also some seating tables on the ends of the tavern. ⁃ They have an impressive array of beers on tap and shelf liquors. ⁃ They also have a decent amount of food items on offer. They have starters, pizza, desserts and beer specials. ⁃ I grabbed a whole pizza. It comes in a box shape for take-out convenience. The barbecue chicken is quite delicious! I was pleasantly surprised as my expectations were not high with a pizza not made in a brick oven. Try it. ⁃ This pizza is served to you in a convenient, rectangular go-to-box just in case your departure time is approaching. ⁃ The prices for food and drinks is reasonable. ⁃ It is the only place in South Station itself (without leaving the precincts) that you can watch TV. I watched an NFL game there (Sunday afternoon) and loved it. You can call it a ‘sports bar’ in a train station! I’ve sincerely never seen a place/or concept like this before in any major transport station/hub. ⁃ They have one central big screen TV that mirrors the main screen on South Station that shows all the departing trains and times of departure. So, you can quickly glance at that TV to see when your departure time for your particular train is and since it is in real time, the loudspeaker announcement in South Station is loud enough for you to hear when in the tavern. ⁃ Service is quick and the waitresses responsive.
