Tavern in the Square

3/9/24 10am, We were looking for an alternate option from hotel food and saw this place that seems cozy and food looks good on the website menu. So we went to this place for breakfast before heading back home from an event we attended. First thing I noticed is that it seems that the crew are not familiar with what goes on during breakfast and we were given lunch/dinner menu. So, I ended up getting the Tavern on the Square Breakfast and I asked for sausage out of the regular 3 options we normally see on the menu. Second thing I noticed when the food arrived, no butter came with the toast. No salt and pepper on the table. And whats worse, the sausage are OVERCOOKED and HARD AS A ROCK. I didn’t complain to have my food changed since we are in a rush. My suggestion to this place is to have a real Chef and a manager that would be checking the quality of food and service. We should have had our brunch at the hotel across from this place…

A decent enough restaurant bar attached to a hotel. Food was good, but nothing special by any means.

3rd best hamburger after Chee Burger Chee Burger (New Orleans) and Tru Burger (New Orleans)

6 of us went here for lunch. We sat outside, and there was lots to look at. This is a busy restaurant, but our food came within a reasonable amount of time. The menu is quite varied and there was something for everyone. The Tavern Burger was very good, as was the Buffalo Benedict, Smoked Wings and Morning Flatbread.

A bar that doesn't count on you having three drinks before tasting the food... everything was delicious!!! Fun vibe, large portions of great food, and Suzanne was amazing.

6 of us went in for dinner and drinks before The Mix Tape concert yesterday. Our waitress was AMAZING along with the manager on duty. Thank you guys for everything!!

10 of us went here on a Tuesday night at 6pm to meet for dinner and drinks because it is a central location for all of us. The location was perfect for getting on off the commuter rail and the T. The place was not busy and we waited for a table to be set up even though we called ahead to arrange this. The service was terrible! The waitress did not know the menu and kept walking away to ask questions of the bartender and other servers. 5 of the 10 got their meals in a reasonable amount of time, and the then waited for more than 20 minutes for the others food to arrive, then, one plate at a time. No comment from the server. Draft beers stayed empty on the table while we waited and the mai tais tasted like lime juice. Food was just ok (burgers and such), it's a pub right? So, low expectations there. I will never go here again. I suggested it after having been to other locations.

A colleague and I stopped in here for lunch on a recent rainy Boston day. We arrived right at their 11:30 AM opening and had been eating/talking the whole of our lunch. When we stood up to leave I was surprised to find that the place had filled every seat and even some at the bar. Nice, modern interior and it looks like there is outdoor seating seasonally. I'd go there again.

$12.99 for a burger that wasn't properly cooked, AND it fell apart after the 2nd BITE!!! The bun just fell apart an I was basically eating the burger with no bun!! Not happy otherwise beers were tasty. The service at the bar was too slow. Not coming back for sure
