This is the most authentic Chinese food in town. It is spicy which I love most. To be honest, I am surprised that I can get such authentic Chinese food in Greater Lafayette. I have visited the place multiple time and tried out different dishes. All dishes come out well prepared and tasty. All ingredients are there so the dishes just taste the same as you are in China. Highly recommend to people who love authentic Chinese dishes. Parking: Lots of free parking space.
I went with a friend about a week ago. We found brown paper towel in one of the dishes. Though the waitress did not charge us for that dish, I would not come back here again. I’ve been eating at Taste since it opened, but the food and service quality here is getting more disappointing. There’s only one lady serving everyone, and she told me I must give 20% tips, even when it’s not said anywhere in the restaurant or in the menu. Would not eat here again. Doesn’t worth the price.
Food was very good and authentic. No complaints at all
The food was fine, but they did not wash their vegetables before serving which means you gonna have some fun trying to remove the dirt between the leaves. Intestences was way too frozed, omitting a weird smell. Some of the hotpot toppings also has some wierd taste because they have been soaked in water for the whole day. They also self included 15% of the bill as tips for themselves which I really dont understand. Overall, each of us got charged almost $50 each for just a hotpot, which is way too expensive compare to some other options such as peppercorn, kimchi, or if U want something similar but out of campus, K town in indy could be your best friend.
