Me and my bf went there for the all you can eat sushi. The service was great.. no wait time and they were very quick and friendly! The miso soup and the tempura were fine but the sushi was pretty bad. Definitely wasn’t fresh, as it tasted like pond water… I read a few reviews with similar complaints, and just like them, I tried a few rolls just to be sure it wasn’t just the tuna or just the salmon, etc. I wasn’t super upset about it considering how cheap it was but I doubt we’ll go back.
I’m not sure how so many people had a different experience than us, but I brought my fiancé here for his birthday and it was the worst sushi we’ve both ever eaten. Everything was VERY fishy and it didn’t taste fresh at all. I got to the point where I kept trying new rolls and hoping it was just the kind of sushi that was the problem, but I ended up feeling sick pretty quickly. The staff was incredibly nice, though! I hope it was just an off day, but I don’t think I’ll be going back again.
The food is delicious, good variety as well. A bit slow around lunch but worth it
Absolutely amazing experience every time We visit every month when we go to Rochester for the all you can eat sushi
Always a delicious experience. Fresh, fresh fish. Kid-friendliness: Family owned.
Atmosphere needs to be updated, aside from that the food is always something we look forward to eating, Chef Fu is always Happy to see us and all of his customers. His rolls are works of art, and he's very meticulous and passionate about his creations. Give Taste of Japan a try, you'll not be disappointed.
Dirty restaurant. Mediocre sushi. We were the only people in the restaurant and it still took like 30 minutes to get the check.
The food here is amazing! Don't overlook it
Our favorite place for sushi! So tasty. So fresh! Can't beat all you can eat!
