Great food with beautiful views! Entree's can get a little pricey depending on what you get, but it is very good. Casual dining with a park and splash pad attached. Parking: Parking is free but due to the splash pad and playground, plus the pier and bay front, it can be difficult to find a space. Kid-friendliness: If your kid is not into seafood, there are options like hotdogs and grilled cheese.
I have been going to The Taste of Boston since it was first opened. I knew the original owners. Now, it's been brought by new owners for a while now. They have superior food, excellent service, a menu with a lot of selection, great prices, and a great view of the bay, in Tampa Bay. The staff is friendly, and prompt to deliver the food. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a relaxing time near the bay. I wanted to add that they are also pet friendly.
I went during lunch, and I wish I would've got the waitresses name. I believe she is the owner. She was tall, blondish, hair, older. I don't understand why she was so rude? She handed the menus and then took forever to take the order. They were slow too! The other server with black hair was so nice wish we had her. Our waitress never asked how our food was. Literally the most unfriendly waitress we ever had. We left cash in the check, and she had the nerve to not even bring the change back to assume that we were letting her keep! We let it ride and would have added more! As far as the food, some of their prices are high-end like $30 for a lobster roll, which is very small and pretty underwhelming. Food was satisfactory though. It is a beautiful view. I would bring food and eat it by the water. I came with 3 other people for lunch and our bill was very high over 125.00 and for sitting on a metal table with plastic forks and paper plates. I'll pass on this place. If you can't be nicer to your customers you have no business in hospitality.
Excellent food! Best shrimp I have EVER eaten!
Super chill place for seafood. It's Boston style food, in Tampa, playing reggae. It works. We started with the hush puppies which were big. Order of 8 was perfect for the 4 of us. It comes with honey if you want sweet, or some other type of savory sauce. Very good, not greasy. Food was good. Portions are hearty and the quality of the fresh stuff is great. I had the grouper fish tacos. So much grouper in them. Also had the cold lobster roll and it was pretty packed with meat. Kids got fish n chips and chicken tenders. Both were fine for them lots of fries for sides, and they are those good fries that don't get soggy and maintain a bit of a bite throughout the meal. Kids meals came with an ice cream cup, and they lived that. Place is quaint, on the water, reasonably priced for seafood, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.
