DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE ETHNIC. We drove down to South Florida for my birthday and Valentine’s Day and we decided to try Tarks because we had been there once before. We entered the small restaurant and was not ever greeted by anyone. There was an ethnic customer already inside waiting on her food and she explained to us that the young girl never acknowledged her and that they gave her her food and never gave her the ticket to pay until she kept trying to get there attention.. After she paid and left we were still standing there and other customers entered and they were immediately greeted and I had to say hey I’m next I was here first. We ordered our food which was the shrimp and fish combo with clam strips. We drove around the corner to get drinks, park and eat. They only gave me three shrimp and the clam strips were a joke because they were burnt and hard. I called right away and talked to Kim. She was very rude and told me the food is how it is. I drove back around the corner with food in hand and she was taking two guys order being nice and friendly. As soon as she was done talking to them she immediately got rude with me and opened my tray and told me I ate half of it and that I had four shrimp when I only had 3. She tried to snatch the receipt out of my hand and I said no. They she proceeded to the register and act like she gave me a refund but she didn’t. I will never eat here again. I’m filing an official complaint.

The hostess was very welcoming when I entered. Ordered the conch salad (it was different because it actually had lettuce) and I also got garlic shrimp with curly fries. Enjoyed the fries, not the shrimp. Asked for double fries because I didn't want the coleslaw but I felt like I didn't get extra. Overall I'll give this place a 3.5.
