Tariq’s 1 Halal Food cart is parked on Park Avenue South and serves up a variety of Indian-influenced rice platters, salads, and sandwiches. stopped here a few weeks ago and picked up a chicken over rice. watched as the owner / grill man made my order. steam rising off the fluffy rice as it dropped into the container. the sizzle and aroma of chicken and spices is a sensory delight. and a small heap of lettuce tomato salad on the side stuffed into the side. and ample amount of white sauce on top. got this as a late lunch and was really satisfied with the quality and how filling it was. the grill guy is friendly and knows what he’s doing when it comes to these dishes.

Do yourself a favor If you’re around union square take the few extra steps and grab some lunch at this place. Is amazing. And the owner is too. 5 stars

Excellent food. This has to be one of the best street meat carts in the area. Try their Chicken Combo ($9) or Tariq's Special ($11). The samosas are authentic. The Biriyani is better than most Indian restaurants. I plan on going through the menu. Service. The two guys who man the cart are friendly, polite and efficient. You should order ahead - they get busy. Atmosphere - it's a NYC food cart.

Absolutely amazing Indian food. Super fresh and hot and very well seasoned. I recommend chicken Biriani plate. Also Kati rolls are delicious.

Their food is better than NYC’s iconic food truck Halal guys. A mixture of chicken and the lamb over rice that I had was so tender, juice and tasted way much more delicious than any other carts that I have tried before. The rice is well spiced as well as the chicken. It did not take me long time for the food to be ready after I placed the order. I noticed that they have service for online food ordering. Also, they have so many varieties to choose from like marsala, chicken biryani and beef curry. Overall, i would go back and try their other foods if i am around union square area. Basically, the cart is located right on 19th st and park ave south; in front of chase bank. Parking: Becareful when you park your car, it is no standing anytime.

Not sure why I haven't made a review for a place I've frequented weekly for years. The meat is tender, the chickpeas and seasoned and well made and the salad is amazing. Samosa are delicious. Everything I've ate has always been top notch. Friendly staff always happy to greet you.

I got my chicken platter finally, The owner is super nice and the food is the best I’ve had ! Will be back soon to try their Beef . 5 Star for sure
