Awesome space and food. We had an amazing time at Brunch. The burger, salad, & lamb hash absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend. Oh and the Mimosa’s are amazing and the Pinot Noir as so delicious.
Weird food and poor team service
My first experience at Tara Kitchen definitely won’t be my last! The food was so flavorful and tasty. They definitely took their time with the food and presentation. Everything I tried kept on getting better and better. The ambience was very Moroccan style and cozy / cute. 10/10 highly recommend!
There was a good variety of vegetarian options on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. For starters the Casablanca spread, (3 types of spreads in relatively small amounts) we preferred the zaalouk and tapenade which were very flavoured. The harissa was too spicy. The fava bean salad was amazing and surprisingly was served warm. For entrees both options we so we got were amazing. Really enjoyed the loubia butter beans in tomato chermoula. It was full of unami! The grilled red snapper was solid, super fresh, and grilled to perfection. The Moroccan tea was too sweet with too much honey for us. Definitely looking forward to coming back to try other dishes. Service was attentive and the dining setting was nice and intimate.
Such a surprising find! This place is cozy and pretty inside. The service was awesome; and the food was yummy!! An ordinary Sunday dinner turned into a date night. Very happy.
Delicious vegetarian options. We cleaned our plates!
Ordered about half of the items on the menu, most of the recommended dishes. I would say maybe 2 of them were… okay? The dishes were extremely poorly seasoned. The meat tasted as if it were all frozen foods. The Chicken entree tasted worse than airplane food (couldn’t even finish). Market salad was the saltiest thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. Worst of all, the portions were SAD (e.g. lamb tagine had like 3-5 tiny chunks of lamb, appetizers were very small considering they were on the “shareable” list”). Basically, they priced the menu out as if this were a SoHo restaurant but with half the portion and 5% of the taste. Horrible. Absolute joke. Will never ever ever return. The waitstaff was kind, attentive, and hardworking. I feel bad the food is so horrible.
This spot may have one of the most romantic vibes in NYC and not only that but they are also serving up authentic Moroccan dishes that will have me back for more! Especially those lamb chops! Here were our meal highlights: Orange Salad w/ honey pomegranate molasses French Lamb Chops w/ a mint sauce and mushrooms Chicken with Pomegranate Molasses, Honey, Harissa, Kalamata Olives & Almonds Mango Cheesecake
