Let me start with, IGNORE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! THEY WOULDN'T KNOW AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD IF IT BIT THEM....THEY NEED TO TAKE THEIR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE TO TACO BELL,WHAT THEY CONSIDER REAL MEXIN FOOD!!! BUT seriously though, this is hands down the Best and ONLY Authentic Mexican food in the bay area!!! I moved here (to Bay area) in 2017 from TEXAS where I was born and raised and have searched high and low for an even remotely good Mexican restaurant....in my opinion,all the others are watered down versions!! The chili rellenos were awesome!!! The rice was great and the beans were fantastic!!!! A little pricey,yes but WELL WORTH IT!! There is a reason this restaurant has been here for so many years!!! Do yourself a favor and try this place out,despite the negative reviews..... you'll be glad you did!!!As for me.... I'm headed over there now to snag me some chili rellenos.... Ohhhh and the salsa?!?!?!....... Do yourself a favor and order extra!!!

I've been going here for years. one of my favorite spots

This is truly sad. I’ve ordered nachos with carne asada many times in the past, but this has to be the worse plate I’ve ever seen/eaten. I paid 13 dollars for a like 20 tortilla chips with microwaved cheese and a sad side of what they call their “guacamole”. There were no onions, no tomatoes, and no cilantro. The saddest part was just the about of chips I got. I’ve gotten so much more with much better effort with 11 dollars at la chapirrita, which is down the street btw, and was originally my first option until I found out they were closed. So I ended up here thinking it would be good since a lot cars were waiting at the drive through. Sadly it’s just another Arby’s drive in.

Best Mexican food ever. Been coming here since middle school.
