We saw this place on Guy Fieri's DDD and were so intrigued we had to try it. It's an unassuming place in a little strip mall, sitting next to a Safeway. It was fairly quiet when we went in, a few of the cafe tables occupied. We ordered the Molcajete Mixta, which as advertised on DDD was loaded with meat, easily enough for 4-6 people. The molcajete was so hot, the sauce was bubbling around the chicken, beef, chorizo, shrimp, cheese, jalapeno and nopal. And it continued to bubble for most of the meal. It was served with six homemade tortillas that were just beautiful. All the meat was so tender, the shrimp were perfectly crisp and plump and juicy, the chorizo (made in house) was so savory and delicious. The sauce was incredible, but not spicy enough. I don't think they trusted us to eat spicy food - until she saw me chow down on the jalapeno and add extra hot sauce. We also orded two tacos: one crispy, one not; filled with their al pastor. Perfection.
