Best tacos in the city

Absolutely love the authentic Mexican cuisine here. In a city with loads of options for Latin flavors, this has been my go to spot for a decade.

Visited on a friends recommendation and really enjoyed the restaurant. The birria tacos were delicious. Very good salsas and guacamole. Really loved the watermelon agua fresca!

Great Mexican food!!!

The food was great! However, the burrito listing is deceiving and lists "choice of protein" in the ingredients, but it's actually $3 extra to add a protein (I thought that charge was for extra protein). Then we were asked if we wanted chips and said yes, but were brought and charged for chips and guac which was confusing because we didn't order the guac.

Food was well prepared and delicious. Staff was friendly and timely.

***UPDATE*** THEY ADDED TIP TO THE RECEIPT! I TIPPED APPROPRIATELY FOR THE SERVICE OR LACK-THERE-OF AND THEY CHANGED IT. FORTUNATELY FOR ME, I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE SIGNED RECEIPT I LEFT. I KNEW THEY WERE SHADY AND THEY PROVED ME RIGHT. MOVING FORWARD WITH MAKING SURE THIS IS DEALT WITH. *****CAUTION - BEWARE *****We were super excited to try this place bc of the reviews but left disappointed and grossed out. Our waiter, Emerson, was non-existent. He was more interested in gossiping with the other employees than doing his job. We never got water refills and had to get up to ask him for things we needed, bc he was not interested in doing his job l. Finally, the worst part is that there was a COCKROACH crawling on the wall next to our table. We killed it and had to get up and show him. He was unfazed, which clearly means he is used to seeing them there. We will NEVER come back to this place. It is wayyyyyyy overrated, and they're depending on their past accomplishments vs working on their current reputation . What's even more.... there are other reviews warning of food poisoning. That's interesting considering the COCKROACH we had nearly crawling on our table. I'd say a visit from the health department is due.
